An angular diagonal wedge sits in the upper portion of the rug, a tall vertical column runs through the centre, and a broad ivory block occupies the lower field — each shape distinct, confident in scale, and placed with real deliberation rather than repeated in a pattern.

What defines Falaya within our current collection is the sheer scale and confidence of its colorblocking: rather than many small fragments, Falaya works with just a few large, sweeping forms, giving the rug a bold, almost lightning-struck quality. The solid brown ground stays uninterrupted between the ivory shapes, letting each one register as a genuine graphic statement rather than one element among many.

Large-Scale Colorblocking: Few Forms, Bold Presence

Falaya's approach to colorblocking favours scale over quantity. Each ivory shape occupies real space within the brown field, uninterrupted by smaller secondary marks, so the composition reads with immediate clarity even from across a room. This restraint — few forms, each one large and asymmetric — is what gives Falaya its confident, modern graphic quality.

Brown and Ivory: A Warm, Grounded Contrast

The deep brown ground and warm ivory shapes sit in gentle, earthy contrast rather than a stark black-and-white opposition. This keeps Falaya feeling grounded and natural, suited to interiors built around warm neutrals and organic materials rather than high-contrast, graphic spaces.

Why Choose Falaya for Your Home?

Bold, large-scale colorblocking: Falaya's few, sweeping ivory shapes give it genuine graphic presence without visual clutter.

A confident, modern composition: The asymmetric placement of each shape feels considered and contemporary.

Exceptional softness: 100% natural wool delivers the deep, plush pile quality Beni Ourain rugs are famous for.

A genuine one-of-a-kind piece: The specific placement and shape of the ivory forms means Falaya's composition exists nowhere else.

Room-defining size: At roughly 6'6"x9'5", Falaya comfortably anchors a living room or bedroom.

Where Falaya Works Best

Warm, earthy living room: Falaya's brown and ivory palette grounds a space built around natural materials and warm tones.

Modern interior with bold, simple forms: The large-scale colorblocking suits a room that favours confident shapes over intricate pattern.

Bedroom with a graphic point of interest: Falaya brings genuine visual presence without overwhelming a restful space.

Gallery-style or design-forward interior: The bold, asymmetric shapes suit buyers drawn to art and considered composition.

A room anchored by natural wood and leather: Falaya's warm brown tone complements wood furniture and leather upholstery.

Explore Our Moroccan Rug Collections

Falaya is part of our curated selection of authentic Beni Ourain rugs.
